Balboa Park, San Diego, CA

San Diego, America’s finest city!
I’ve actually attended high school in San Diego, but never took the time out of my day to go visit Balboa Park. It took me a decade to finally make a trip out and devote a day to walking around the park. Balboa Park is beautiful if you haven’t been to already. Actually, the entire city of San Diego is beautiful. It’s like the whole city is filled in with soft watercolors. The vibe is incredibly lax and breezy.
The Park is surrounded by multiple museums and the (in)famous San Diego Zoo also sits on its grounds. San Diego Zoo is among one of the largest zoo’s in America and was popular for its giant pandas. In April 2019, the two remaining pandas left the zoo to return to China. You can read more here. The park grounds are way bigger than Central Park, and there are so many things you can do within the 19 gardens, 17 museums, 9 performing arts centers, or 14 restaurants.
