Marvelous Hong Kong!
I was only here for a mere 3 days, BUT I managed to get my friend to take me around, while I also ate egg tart, ran for the ferry, felt lost with no cash on hand, and shopped for the cutest things. Most of the cutout shots are a result of my struggle against the busy bustling and foggy weather. There’s also a picture of a century egg in the gallery. It was an offering, but I was only able to take a picture and not a bite of it.. maybe next time!
Various Places, Hong Kong
January 27-30, 2018
Places visited, with or without the cutouts
- Chunking mansions: Went in and out in 2 seconds. My friend and I weren’t sure what to look for while walking in there (no cutout photos)
- Victoria Peak: Top of the hill to get the iconic picture of HK skyline. The cutouts got great photos at the peak.
- Times Square: Went for Lane Crawford and felt too exhausted to do more.
- Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong: Stayed at the Mandarin Suite for one day, which has the world’s most comfortable bed EVER. The entire hotel lobby has a thick mandarin orange scent.
- IFC mall: Great to walk around and shop til you drop!
- Jardine House: Home to Jasmine Place (below)
- Jasmine Place: I shamelessly stuffed my face with every possible veg/pescatarian dish. SO GOOD. (No cutouts)
- Ozone: Rooftop bar at the Ritz. It’s a famous bar, but the weather was foggy so I couldn’t enjoy the scenery from atop. Cutouts didn’t go, but you can see one of their cocktail presentations (HK Skyline) in one of the photos.
- There’s also a photo of Aqua Luna, but without its iconic red-sail out (no cutouts with the boat)
